On behalf of Old Crescent RFC, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visiting teams, their supporters and club officials for the coming season. A special welcome also goes to our own loyal members and supporters. As players, we look forward to representing you and Old Crescent to the very best of our ability.

I am incredibly proud to have been selected as Club Captain for the coming season. It is a tremendous honour, and I hope to live up to the standards set by the many great men who have held the position before me. I look forward to representing everything that is special about Old Crescent, both on and off the pitch.

Having come through the club’s underage programme, I understand how important Old Crescent is in developing not only rugby players but also friendships, character and a lifelong connection to the club. It makes the honour of captaining the club even more meaningful.

Family has always been an important part of my rugby journey. I have been very fortunate to play alongside my brothers and to share so many memorable moments with them in an Old Crescent jersey. I have also been lucky to have a father who has been a constant inspiration to me. Having represented the club as a player, served as Club President and continued to give so much as a great clubman, he has shown me what commitment and loyalty to Old Crescent truly mean.

As a playing squad, we know what an honour it is to wear the Old Crescent jersey, and every one of us is extremely proud to do so. We are also very conscious of the sacrifices made by our families and friends, which allow us to give the time and dedication required throughout the season. For their patience, encouragement and unwavering support, we are extremely grateful.

I would like to extend a special thank you to our club sponsors. Their generous support enables Old Crescent to operate and develop at every level. To our members, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes, your contribution means a great deal to the players, and we hope to repay your support through our commitment and performances on the field.

To our loyal band of supporters, I look forward to seeing you follow the team up and down the country once again this season. Your encouragement means more than you may ever realise, and the lift the players receive from hearing your voices on the sideline cannot be overstated.

With a number of new and returning additions to the squad, the season ahead promises to be an exciting one. Here’s to success on the field, great memories off it, and countless renditions of “The Sloop” ringing around the changing rooms—not only at Rosbrien, but at grounds throughout the country.
